Airbus Express Questions
How do I stop the bus along Mt Eden Road? Where do I stand exactly? Airbus Express bus signs are allocated to all stops on Mt Eden Rd and you just need to flag the driver down.
Does the return ticket have an expiry date/how long can they use it for? No, you can keep it for as long as you like.
Does Airbus Express go through Newmarket? No unfortunately it does not. We do link with the Britomart transport centre where you can catch the train or Link bus to Newmarket.
How often does the Airbus Express stop on each stop? Just long enough to pick up passengers, approximately 2 minutes. Please refer to our timetables: Airport to City Timetable, City to Airport Timetable.
Does Airbus Express stop at both Domestic Terminals? No. There is now a dedicated stop for Airbus Express at the Air New Zealand Terminal at the far end of the concourse opposite the multi story car park (just below the escalator to the car park). How long is the trip? Approximately 45 minutes from Auckland Airport to Downtown Ferry Terminal and with our new express route approximately 50 minutes to Auckland Airport from Downtown Ferry Terminal. Please allow an extra 10 minutes if travelling in rush hour traffic.
What is the fare? Adult $16/Return $23 – Backpacker $14/Return $21 – Child $6/Return $12. For regular travellers there is a discount voucher that can be printed off here.
Is there a senior’s discount? Yes, the cost is $14.00/Return $21 - and can only be purchased off the driver on the bus.
Does the Airbus Express pick up over the Shore? No, unfortunately we do not, but we do connect with the Britomart transport centre where you can catch the North Shore Express Service.
Does Airbus Express accept credit cards? Unfortunately not on our buses at the moment, but we do have a facility at the International Arrivals stop that can accept a credit card. Just follow the instructions on the screen.
What is the last stop along Mt Eden Road? Three Kings Intersection Mt Eden & Mt Albert Rd at the bus stop, just wave the driver down.
What type of identification do I need for backpackers/student rate? Student ID or backpacker card like VIP or YHA membership card.
